So this week was great but as you can see from my subject we didn't get a call so my companion and i are staying in Nanaimo! I am so happy because this place is amazing and i have seen so many miracles! Nothing too crazy happened this past week except I GOT TO SKYPE MY FAMILY!!! That was absolutely amazing and it was so good to see them! I can't believe it has been 6 months since i had seen you all before but just another 6 more months and i get to see you in person! And it will fly by faster then these almost 12 months! It was so good to see you all and talk to you! I enjoyed all the questions and everything and i can't wait to come back and show you how beautiful it is here!
Last Monday we got to go look at a beach that was absolutely beautiful- we did have to walk up and down 130 steps but it was worth it! This place has really helped me to see how beautiful of a place we live and how lucky we are to be here! I have definitely been able to understand our Heavenly Fathers love for us by giving us this amazing place to learn and grow! We are all so privileged with the amazing beauty that is all around us! And today we went on a hike with the senior couple in the mission and there was a fork in the road and we weren't sure which way to go to see this amazing waterfall people told us about so we took the left side and found this tiny stream after searching and when we came back down we looked at the map close by the trail and it said the falls were actually to the right! So we decided we would go back a different day but i was a beautiful hike! We had a lot of fun though!
We have really been just searching for more people to teach! We have found so many but the hard part is trying to find a time when they can meet because everyone is so busy! I forget other people have other things to do then make time to see the missionaries who do the same thing everyday! But we were able to meet this awesome guy Adrian who we met at a bus stop 10 minutes before curfew and met with him again this past Saturday! He has been church hopping for a while and he said he saw something different in us and so we met with him and he said he wants to keep learning! He is super cool so we are hoping he will be able to progress!
We also had this amazing miracle on Friday where we were walking and talked to this lady and she pretty much just yelled at us for sharing what we believe and really just tore us apart and walked away saying that felt so good and i can't wait to do it again! But we just brushed ourselves off and kept going so we could talk to everyone and met this guy Patrick who can't wait to meet again and come to church! It really just showed me how important it is to just keep going no matter what! As long as we can get over the trial or the bump in the road there will always be something better waiting on the other side! It definitely made the trial worth it and almost prepared us in a way so that we were able to see the miracle waiting for us!
I have learned so much on my mission and have loved every second of it! It has brought me so much joy just to watch people change and watch the gospel of Jesus Christ touch them slowly until they have this amazing light inside of them that you can't help but notice! There will always be hard times in our lives and obstacles that we have to go through but it will only make life so much better and will help us grow so much. Each trial we go through is preparing us for the future ones so we can be that much stronger against the adversary until finally we have reached the person our Father in Heaven knows we can be and we are welcomed back into his open arms! Just the thought makes everything we go through so worth it! I love you all so much and hope you have a fantastic week! Talk to you next week!
