Hello!
What a crazy week it has been! We have been so busy teaching a bunch of people! We have really been blessed with people to teach who are actually progressing! We have an investigator Sonia who has a baptismal date and is so cute! Her husband is a member and the only thing keeping her from baptism in the past is her 3 triplets who are 20 months old so she has her hands full but is doing really well! Katharine is doing awesome as usual. She isn't quite ready to commit to baptism because she knows how important it is and wants to learn a little more so we are hoping she will be ready soon! We are teaching a few others but no amazing news for any of them except Veronica who has been investigating for 8 months whose husband won't let her be baptized is going to Chile for 2 weeks so we won't see her for a while :(.
This week Sister Rood and I got to go to the temple with a less active we were working with and are so close to. She comes to lessons with us all the time and we go on splits with her a lot since there are 3 of us we have the resources to do so! But the temple is amazing and was so pretty! I love it and it was such an amazing experience to go with someone and watch her go through for the first time. It reminded me of the first time i went through. I am so grateful for the temple and the wonderful blessings we receive from them! It truly is Gods kingdom on earth!
We also had the first District meeting of the transfer and sadly we met at the church and it was locked and we don't have a key so we had to go back to our apartment and have it there. It was fun but also very interesting. We also went on this crazy exchange on Friday where Sister Settle was sick so one of out STL stayed in with her and we went out and had a bunch of appointments so we had to go on a splits with our member a few times! But it was a lot of fun even though it was a bit crazy!
I have learned a lot this week about how we are called where we are with who we are with for a reason. Nothing happens by accident and we will never know how much we affect the people we are around. We just had a Sister who served here for 6 months come back and visit and it was interesting to see how much she affected the ward and those around her and she didn't even realize the affect she had. It was interesting to me to see that through her hard work and always following the spirit she was able to change the lives around her and help them truly come to Christ which is our purpose as missionaries! Each of us have touched those around us in some way so that is why it is so important to always be such an amazing example and why Christ was given to us not only to perform the Atonement but for each of us to look towards as that perfect example so we know how our Heavenly Father wants us to act and strive to follow everyday! I love my Savior and know as we follow him and and his perfect example we will be live with him again one day!
I love you all so much and you will all never truly know how much each of you have touched my life and gotten me to where i am now! Have a great week!
Love,
Sister Heaton
