Hi Fam,
I love hearing about your week and knowing whats going on! My week has been an interestingly crazy and boring week.
Our new mission president is coming on the 15th of July to Prince George so we can all meet him and have an interview with him and get to know him better. Our Sister Training Leaders went and meet them for mission council and i have heard great things so i am really excited to meet President Burt and His Wife. He apparently owns Burt Brothers Tires and he is awesome that is pretty much all i have heard.
The weather here is so bipolar! It will be super warm and sunny then about 2 hours later it will start to rain then it will get really warm and humid again about an hour later. So i usually don't do my hair straight because halfway through the day it just gets all curly again! What a joy!
It sounds like you had a great 4th of July! It sounds like you had a lot of fun! I am sad i didn't get to see any fireworks but that's okay i can in the future!I had a lot of people wish my companion and i a happy 4th of July which was really nice! We actually had a ward potluck on the 4th so we went and the Senior missionary couple dressed up in red white and blue! We also helped them make a cake that looked like the American flag it had strawberries and blueberries and they brought that to the potluck too! We were worried no one would eat it but by the end of the night it was all gone! I have some pictures that you can see! The senior couple is really fun and helpful! They are sort of our parents here or so they pretend to be.
I pray for everyone every morning for before and after personal study and i know that they will help each of you!
Its so good to hear about the kids i can't believe how much bigger they are getting and how adorable they are! I can't wait to see them again! I miss seeing them so much!
So this week was interesting.
This past week my companion got a concussion while we were doing service. She put a crow bar on top of the ladder and she forgot it was there and moved the ladder and bonk it hit her on the head. We had to stay in the apartment for 4 days because she had a headache and we went to the doctor last Wednesday and he said she wasn't suppose to do any exercise until her headache was gone. We are finally out today we had a few trial runs during those few days but i think it is finally better today so we are finally out and about. We weren't able to keep up on our appointments which is why we don't really have anyone progressing at the moment. We did do an exchange on Saturday so we could try and meet standards for the week and my new companion Sister Smith and i found 7 new investigators in one day! That is definitely not a normal thing that happens! It was such a miracle so we were able to meet standards for the week! During the week we had so much time that we watched some movies so we saw Legacy 4 times, the Restoration 3 times, and all these other movies either twice or once! So during the week i was able to learn a lot more about Joseph Smith and his life! It has strengthened my testimony about him so much and my testimony on prophets in general. Joseph smith is one of the most amazing men i have ever come to know! He went through so much throughout his life and he had so much perseverance to keep going so that all of us could be where we are today and have the gospel in our lives and most importantly Jesus Christ! I am so blessed and grateful to be apart of this amazing gospel everyday and have the opportunity to teach others about it!
It was such a testimony builder and has helped me so much! He has been such an example to me that even though he went through all of these thing, he kept moving forward and because of it i am on my mission today!
We sometimes get to see the other sisters on P-day when we email and lately we have seen them a lot to do exchanges! But we mostly just do whatever we need during the day! We aren't allowed to be friends with the elders apparently so we try to stay away from them as much as possible!
It was so good to hear from you and i will keep you updated on everything!
Love and miss you tons!
Love,
Sister Heaton
