What a week full of so many miracles!!!!! I can't even express the love that i have for this work or the love i have for my Savior! It grows so much each time i am able to see how i am an instrument in the Lords hands and am able to see even those small miracles or tender mercies! The moments i am able to testify of the Book of Mormon or the Restoration and feel the spirit coursing through me just praying that they can feel it as well! I really feel like this past month i have really been able to focus on my relationship with the Savior and my testimony! I feel so much closer to him and have been able to now start focusing on relying on him more for the direction we need so we can do His will and be instruments in His hands.
We have really been trying to focus on the spirit by praying about our plans and making sure we are doing the Lords plans. We were actually finding yesterday and found a woman named Lindsey who was meeting with the missionaries in Medicine Hat a few years ago and wants to meet with us again after she goes on vacation. We were able to talk a little about baptism and she said that she has been thinking about it more and might want to progress towards that!!!!!! Then there is Justin who is so awesome and prepared! Ha has been going through some crazy things with his home life and family but has almost gotten it all figured out but is still super excited to meet with us this week and progress in the gospel! The best part is we talk to him everyday over text or sometimes he calls us!
Then last Thursday we were praying about where the Lord needed us and we both felt we should go try this former investigator from when we first got here! She wasn't home but when we turned around we found Lynda Terry who is one of the golden investigators we found when we first got here and haven't been able to contact since. She said she lost her phone but has been reading the Book of Mormon and wants to meet this coming Thursday! She is amazing! It was such a big miracle. We also have a few more people that we have found this past week that want to meet and have the potential of being baptized. We can't wait to get going this week and see all these amazing people we have found and help them come closer to their Savior!
I am so grateful for this gospel and the many things i have been able to go through and endure so i can become the person my Heavenly Father needs me to be! I am so grateful for this amazing work that i have the opportunity to be apart of! There is truly nothing better than sharing the restored gospel to everyone we come in contact with! I love the Book of the Mormon and the truths it holds and the amazing power it has to answer any question we have in life no matter what! I have never appreciated the gift of the Book of Mormon until my mission and have such a strong testimony! It has done nothing but bless me and help me to "be persuaded that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God; and that the Father may bring about, through his most Beloved, his great and eternal purpose" (Mormon 5:14, read this in my studies this morning and loved it) The Book of Mormon is truly a one of a kind book and not only that but the most correct of any other book on the earth! I love you all and hope you all have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Heaton
