I don't know where the time has gone this past week! I seriously woke up today and couldn't remember what day it was!!
So many crazy things happened this past week!!!
On Monday we got to teach our wards family home evening at one of our favorite members houses! We all decided to pray about it and then talk about the answers we got in comp study and we all got the Restoration! It was such a good lesson and very inspired! We were really excited that it worked out!
Then on Tuesday we got to get out ears cleaned out by our landlady! It was seriously the coolest, grossest things i have ever done! And i can hear so much better! Seriously like night and day difference! We all got it done because we couldn't ever hear what each other was saying and so we would all say funny things that we thought each other said but it gave us a good laugh. So our landlady stuck some strips of cotton in wax then wrap it around a drumstick so it makes a cone and then you put the end of it in your ear and light it on fire! The smoke just vacuums all the wax out of your ear and then after you open up the cone and you get to see how much came out! I had so much in mine! We also had a lesson with our indian investigator Sonia! Her husband is a member and she knows the church is true and has a testimony of it all so we invited her to be baptized on the 29 of March and she said yes!!!! But she has a hard time coming to church because she has triplets that are 20 months so it makes it hard but we are still praying for her to be baptized on the 29!!!!
On Wednesday we had district meeting! It was probably the best district meeting i have given! We talked all about the importance of studies and the book of mormon and having a strong testimony! It was completely led by the spirit! Then we had a miracles lesson with a new investigator Kam he is east indian too! He is so prepared and just wants to learn so that was a really good lesson!
Thursday we got to go on exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders after we planned! I got to go to Langley with one of my comps, Sister Settle! It was so fun! At the end of the night we had to go get a mattress from another companionship that lives close by and i had to carry it on my head because it was so heavy and then she took us the wrong way! I thought my arms were going to fall off by the time we got back to their apartment!
On Friday we found out that one of our investigators Katharine had a death in her family and that is why she hasn't been talking to us for the past week or two! We were all so heart broken so we took her some cookies and wrote her a card and are just waiting and praying that she will want to meet with us again so we can help her through this hard time! I also got to move past one of my biggest fears which is reptiles when we went to see a less active family. I got to hold a bearded dragon! It took about 10 minutes for my companion to pass it off to me but i held it and it wasnt too bad but i am still terrified of reptiles! But that was step in the right direction!
Then Saturday or what i like to call death day because we have to walk all day long and can't use our car. We had been walking all day then went to see a member and had such a good time with her then we didn't leave until about 8:45 and it takes us about 25 minutes to walk home, so we had to walk really fast, like really really fast and i was jumping up on the curb as i was walking super fast and you all know me i twisted my ankle super bad and it should have been a sprain! Our member we just saw got a friend to come pick us up and take us home! The good part about it is we got home on time! But i woke up the next day after icing it and it was almost completely healed! No swelling, no bruising, just a little pain when i put pressure on it! It was absolutely a miracle! I couldn't believe it! It just proved to me how important each person is to Heavenly Father and how much he really needed me not to hurt so i can keep working!
Then yesterday! It was pouring rain and completely freezing with the wind but all in all it was a good day! The only thing that could have been better is if we had someone come to church but we will keep working on inviting everyone so at least someone will decided to use that free agency we have got and come to church!!
I have learned a lot this week! I mostly learned about the how important each of us are to our Heavenly Father! He loves and cares about each of us so much that we would do anything to help us! It is truly through hard work, faith and prayer that we will be able to align our will with his and truly see the miracles pour from heaven! Prayer is so amazing and can truly help each of us receive the answers to life's problems! So i want to invite all of you to pray and not just pray but listen to what he wants to say back! There have been so many times that i have just prayed and not listened like i was leaving a voicemail! But praying is a phone call there is someone on the other line just waiting to talk to us and help us! I love you all so much and miss you tons!!
Love,
Sister Heaton
