So i got my transfer news this morning and i get to go to . . . . drum roll. . . . NANIAMO!!! It is on the island! I seriously can't wait to go! I have heard so many good things about it and how beautiful it is especially right now in the spring!!! I get to go on Wednesday!!! I have a new companion as well her name is Sister Christensen so i will let you know more about her when i meet her! I also heard just now that instead of doing Sister Districts and Elder Districts they are combining us just like every other mission because we don't have enough sisters anymore!!! I am so excited!!
This week is seriously been so crazy! Lets see we had a great time on Monday with a fun family in our ward that fed us then we got to do a family home evening lesson. Tuesday we didn't have a lot going on so we decided to get 60 QGC (quality gospel conversations) which in a normal day you are suppose to get 20! And we got to go to a fun 12-13 year old Sunday school class party with our assistant ward mission leader! It was so fun! It reminded me of the olden days! Good times! Then on Wednesday we had combined district meeting that me and another sister district leader trained on what we learned in Zone conference and about the spirit! It was so good and the spirit was so strong! Then on Thursday we planned and did a bunch of service for our relief society president in our ward! It was a lot of fun! Then on Friday we had to drive Sister Settle to Richmond-which is about an hour away- for her exit interview and then had to drive back for a lesson then back to Langley about 30 minutes away to give something to our zone leaders from the office so i consisted of running a whole bunch of errands!
Then on Saturday we got to go to our East Indian investigators house to make indian food and have lunch together! it was so fun! She has triplets and is going to get baptized soon! She is amazing! Then it was the Womens conference and our stake had the YSA put on this dinner and theater where they did a little ensemble called "My Servant, Joseph written by Kenneth Cope! It was absolutely amazing! The spirit was so strong and it was beautiful! Then the womens conference! All about families and our baptismal covenant! Absolutely perfect especially with all the worlds problems with families! I have really been able to focus a lot on my baptismal covenant lately as we have been talking to members about it and the importance of the Sacrament! It really has changed my thoughts and feelings on the importance of the sacrament! The sacrament and the atonement go hand in hand and i never really realized it! As we partake of the sacrament we are really just remembering the sacrfice Christ made for us and taking his name upon ourselves. That means we must see ourselves as His. We will put Him first in our lives. We will want what He wants rather than what we want or what the world teaches us to want. He is literally the center of everything we know and believe as members. So with Easter coming please just remember how you have taken Christ into your life! And if you haven't already watch Because He Lives, the new video the church just put out about Christ and Easter! It is heart warming and absolutely beautiful!!
I love you all so much and seriously can't wait for Conference this weekend and can't wait to hear what all of you learned! Talk to you next week! Love you all!
Love,
