So Rose got baptized this week! It was so great! She is absolutely amazing and was seriously so prepared! She even got up and bore her testimony and it was perfect almost like she had been a member her whole life! We had a double baptism, so us and the elders in our ward both baptized this weekend! We were in charge of filling up the font and lets just say it was an interesting experience, i won't get into too much detail but i will say this experience included my companion getting in a baptismal jumpsuit and getting in the font because the water was all the way full and was ice cold! Anyway other than the week went by pretty smoothly and so fast! I seriously can't believe how the time just flies! Monday we were able to go to a little fish and chips place on the waterfront and get some delicious fish! It was so good! We had a great district meeting this past week and i was asked to give a training on Diligence. I was only able to have 5 minutes to do my training but i still did one! It was fun! Kind of brought back the days i use to be a District Leader! On Thursday our ward organized a 2 hour split, where each of the missionaries had the opportunity to go out with ward members on splits and visit a bunch of less actives to help reactivate them!
We have been trying to find a bunch more people to teach lately because the sisters that were here before us baptized their whole teaching pool but we are working on building it all back up! So we have been focusing on talking to all the people we can! We also were really busy trying to prepare Rosie for her baptism which went so well! She is amazing! I wish you could all meet her! We have also been super busy visiting all our recent converts and less actives! There are so many in this ward so we have been trying to keep up on them and continue to help them with their testimonies too!
I learned a lot about the Atonement this week and we send our recent converts and investigators and anyone who asks us to a spiritual quote every morning and this is the one i wrote a few days ago! The purpose of the gospel is to make bad men good and good men better and to change human nature. Thus, the journey of mortality is to progress from bad to good to better and to experience the mighty change of heart- to have our fallen natures change." We need the Atonement of Jesus Christ so that we can change and become who God knows we can be-our better self. As we live the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday we will be able to access the Atonement and receive the strength to change. The Atonement will help us to do and be good and to serve beyond our own individual desire and natural capacity. The Atonement is already there, now all we have to do is our part and we will be given the power we need to be better as we rely on Him! I love this gospel so much and the opportunity i have to share it with as many people as i can every day! Being able to watch the gospel of Jesus Christ change someone is the most amazing gift anyone could ever ask for! I am so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for each of us so that we can go beyond we ever thought we could and do his work and make our lives here the best we can so we can have even better lives for eternity! I love and miss you all so much!
Love,
