So you got it! I hit my year mark last Thursday!!!!!! It is so crazy to think that i was just barely starting this amazing adventure just a year ago!!!! Time has gone by so fast! This week was such a good week! We have what we call standards of excellence in our mission and it is a goal of member presents, new investigators people at church and baptismal dates we set a week that is hard for every companionship to reach but it definitely achievable, anyway we hit it this week! We were so excited! We were working so hard and was able to get 5 people at church which here is not very easy! I don't know how we did it! The Lord blessed us so much!
A member referred us to a mom and daughter who are so cute, Wendy and Julia. We were able to have a great lesson with them this past week and they came to church for the second time! The only problem is they only speak mandarin. So we our member has to translate for her all the time! It has been a fun experience but kind of hard to explain lots of basic things and break down and make it even more simple then it already is! But we are working with them! They are so sweet!
We have been teaching a few other people but they are really hard to get a hold of them and set stuff up!
Yesterday our ward had what we call a cottage meeting. It is where all our new members and some less actives and ward missionaries can come and play games, eat treats and have a spiritual thought. Its a place where people can get to know each other and build friendships! It was lots of fun! We went to a beach side lagoon! We had watermelon and played simon says, then had a fun spiritual message! We were able to get a few investigators and recent converts there and they had a good time!
It was really sad to hear that L.Tom Perry passed away! We found out in church on sunday and i was so shocked! But it is so nice to know he is in a better place and in no pain from his cancer!
Other than that we have been working really hard to just find even more people that are ready to be baptized this month! We have a goal of having 2 so we have been praying like crazy for that goal! There are so many people here that are so prepared it is just the meeting up with again part that is hard but i know Heavenly Father is mindful of us all and will lead us to those that are ready as long as we are working hard and doing our best to follow the spirit and talk to everyone!!! This gospel is such an amazing blessing and having the chance to share it with others is the best gift i could have ever asked for!
Love you all and hope you have a fantastic week! :)
Love,
Sister Heaton

We found a book box where you can take and leave a book, so we decided to leave a Book of Mormon there with our information!
