This week was crazy!! So many things happened!
So on Tuesday we did an exchange where Sister Goldthorpe went with the Vanderhoof Sisters in a tri and i got to be with the STL's! It was a lot of fun! We were together almost all day Tuesday to Zone Conference on Wednesday at about 1. We got to see a lot of members and found this awesome investigator M who they are currently teaching! That was a miracle! We had been finding for about 1 1/2 hours and we were getting cold and tired so we all decided to huddle on the street and I prayed that we would find someone that the Sisters could teach then about 20 minutes later we found M! Miracle!
Then we had Zone Conference! That was absolutely amazing! A while before President and Sister Burt went to the Mission Presidents Seminar and all the mission presidents in the states were talking about how all their missionaries got to see Meet the Mormons, and since they are showing it in Canada yet or in BC at least, he was able to get a copy of it and he showed it to all the missionaries at Zone Conference! After we watched it we talked about some of the amazing things that were in it and how we can use it in missionary work. Meet the Mormons was amazing! If you haven't seen it, i definitely recommend you see it! It is so inspirational and inspiring! You could feel the spirit so strongly, especially when they were talking about the missionary mom, that was kind of hard to watch because it wasn't too long ago that i went through the same thing but it helped me to realize that this is most definitely where i need to be right now. Then after we were done talking about the movie, President called some missionaries up to bear their testimonies and guess who was one of them??? ME!! I got to stand up in front of our zone and another zone that is up North and a whole bunch of members and bear my testimony! Wow was that an interesting experience! It was actually really good and i don't remember what i was talking about the spirit just kind of took over and i just opened my mouth! That was one of my favorite Zone Conferences though so far!
Then on Friday we had the CanAmerican Potluck with our ward! One of our members brought a whole family with him and one of them said they were willing to let us come and teach them! That was really exciting! It was nice to have a sort of Thanksgiving in November though! It just doesn't feel right when you have 2 holidays in October but it was good because the Elders were at Mission Council so we got all the members to ourselves!
Saturday was crazy! It was raining all day but we got to go help some members harvest some carrots from their garden then they fed us lunch! Then we had to rush home and get ready for Kaden's Baptism!!! We got there kind of late so we didn't get pictures with him in his little white outfit :( but we both got to speak. I spoke on baptism and then Sister Goldthorpe on the Holy Ghost then he got baptized! He is seriously the cutest! We had refreshments afterward and we got to talk to some of their non-member family since his mom isn't a member. We did get a picture with him in his little suit in front of the font, so cute!
Yesterday we had a miracle! We had been praying all day to get 2 new investigators! And we were able to go back and see this potential we found last week and she was really busy with her whole family trying to clean up their house and so we offered to help them and after a little while she finally let us come in and help her. Then she asked if we wanted to sit and talk for a while so of course we said yes! And she let us teach her almost the whole restoration and she said she would read the Book of Mormon and we could come back and teach her more! She is going through a really hard time in her life right now and she just needs some guidance and we are here to give it to her! Then we found this house full of Chinese students that we passed off to the Elders and they went back and were able to teach one of them so we reached our goal of 2 new investigators! Miracle!
This week was amazing! I learned so many things and can't believe that i have almost been here for 6 months! That is 1/3 of my mission that is gone! I can not believe how crazy and mind blowing everything is when you really think about it! I still can't believe i am a missionary, in Canada, talking to strangers all day! It is truly insane! But definitely worth every moment! I absolutely love being here in Prince George! The ward and members are amazing and i couldn't have asked for a better companion or leaders! The church is true! I love you all and miss you so much!
