It was such an amazing week this week! We were able to see so many miracles! The Elders passed over an investigator and we were able to meet with her and have an amazing and spiritual lesson! Then on Thursday, it was an absolute amazing miracle day! Overall i prayed 3 times for an extraordinary missionary opportunity and we got 3 of them! We had the Deep Cove sisters (they are in North Vancouver) pass over an investigator to us that moved here recently then we got a media referral that we called and are calling again today to set up a time to take him a Book of Mormon and then later that night on the way home we met a woman named Kelly (she was the bus driver actually and approached us )that had been taught by Elders before and wants to meet with us now! It was definitely a day full of miracles! We are starting to get to know the ward better and we were all able to have an amazing Christmas!
First of all last Monday we went with a member and the other sisters in our district to the Capilano Suspension bridge! It was beautiful! We went at night and were able to see it all lite up for Christmas! It was so much fun! We want to go back in the day time so we can see what it looks like for real because you couldn't really see it but it was so much fun!
Then on Christmas Eve we went to a families house in our ward, the Watters! They were so nice and they fed us amazing food! Then we went and saw the cutest old lady in our ward, Sister Drazenovich from Finland! She also served her mission there! She tells us the funniest mission stories, like this one time they were teaching a few nuns and 5 of them came to church with them except they were dressed like. . . nuns! Haha she said everyone was staring at them since they came in late and right before the sacrament! She is so cute! Then that night we made our landlords a giant card and took it to them. Then we read Luke 2 together and had a mini testimony meeting! It was the most amazing and spiritual night ever! It was so amazing to share our testimonies with each other about how the Savior has changed our lives this past year and how we each got on our missions! It will forever be a family tradition to have a testimony meeting on Christmas Eve!
Then we woke up on Christmas at 6 so we all could open our presents and have time to get ready and have studies! Thank you all for the amazing gifts! i absolutely love each one of them but the most amazing gift i got was i was able to talk to my family! I loved seeing you (especially Bailey) and seeing how you were doing! I am sorry i probably should have come more prepared with questions to ask and stories to tell! I still can't believe i saw you! It just reminded me why i came our here so that other families could have the opportunity to be with their families forever just like we can!
We also got to go to the Childrens hospital with a few members and other missionaries and sing carols to them! We also had a dinner with another member in our ward! It was so good! Then they gave us presents afterward! They were all recent converts and were so excited to feed us and have us with them! I also think that all us recieved all the chocolate in Canada and a little in the states! All we have been given lately is chocolate which is why i eat it almost everyday! it is so good but i am starting to get sick of it! Crazy right?
It was overall an amazing week and are now preparing for another great week and sadly again it is transfer calls again next week! I wonder what will happen but you never know! I hit my 7 months yesterday and realized how quickly this all goes by but i have been able to see and experience some of the greatest things i could ever have in my life! i want to invite all of you to pray for an extraordinary missionary opportunity everyday and exercise the faith i know each of you have and find Heavenly Fathers children that are just waiting for the chance to experience the joy and happiness the gospel can bring them! So many are just waiting for you to talk to them and share the light! I will be talking with some of you in just 5 months again and I am expecting some pretty amazing missionary stories! I love all of you and hope you have a Happy New Year!
