I can't believe that 2014 is already over! What an amazing year it was! So much happened and i was able to see so many miracles! I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store.
So this past week went by zippity quick! And guess what its transfer calls today again! So crazy! Anyway we were able to teach Joy 3 times this past week! She is so prepared and ready to be baptized but she just feels she doesn't know enough yet. We are trying to help her out and help her to realized she doesn't need to know everything and she won't stop growing and learning after she is baptized. She will actually be able to learn even more afterwards because she will have the Holy Ghost with her. Anyway that is what is happening with her. We also have been finding a lot! We have met some amazing people that are interested in learning more except something happens every time where we have to get off the bus or sky train or they have to so we are never able to get there numbers to contact them but we have given them ours or a mormon.org card and make sure and tell them they can get a hold of us from there. So we are really praying and hoping for a miracle!
For New Year's Eve we had planning so we were inside from 5 on. We stayed up and talked until midnight then we had gotten some martinellis so we drank that then went straight to bed afterwards! We were so tired! We have 3 crazy friends that are around downtown. There is Ebola guy, preacher man, and guitar dude. Guitar dude is a guy that plays his guitar outside the skytrain station and we gave him some money and wanted him to play the guitar and sing with one of the other sisters. Sadly he doesnt know how to play any hymns but they got his number and he was interested in learning more. Preacher man is a guy that stands in the corners of streets and yells out scriptures to people. Sister Foote wanted to give him a Book of Mormon then we talked to him for a while. Every time we said something he kind of agreed with he would just yell, "Amen sister!" so everyone around us walking could hear. Then there is Ebola guy, his real name is actually Caleb Heaton! Haha imagine that! Anyway he stands on the corner of busy streets and yells, "EBOLA IS A PLAGUE FROM GOD! We went up and talked to him and he said his motive was that he just wanted everyone to know. He also said he wants to learn more so we gave him our number and then we met him again on Christmas Eve and asked us to explain to him more about Christmas and what it is about and said he wants to meet with us but is trying to figure out the best way to explain his story but when he figures it out will call us and let us know.
I also have plantar facitis that i got from walking everywhere all the time, so my companions were kind of forcing me to go to the doctor! Lame but i had to but miracles came from it! We were sitting in the waiting room of the medical clinic, this woman walks in for her appointment and looks at me and asks me if i am a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and i said yes i am a missionary for the church and then her name was called and she said she really wanted to meet with us and asked for our number but wasn't able to give it to her in time but my companions talked to her after and gave her our number before she left! Miracles! If there is one thing i have learned on my mission it is that everything happens for a reason! I found a scripture today that pretty much says exactly that in D&C 6:14 that says "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, blessed art thou for what thou hast done; for thou hast inquired of me, and behold, as often as thou hast inquired thou hast received instruction of my Spirit. If it had not been so, thou wouldst not have come to the place where thou art at this time." As each of us follows the spirit we will be able to do exactly what we need to in the place God needs us to be so we can help him fulfill his purpose which is to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" I have seen so many miracles already from following the spirit and doing what i am suppose to. I hope you are all able to have an amazing start to 2015!

Sister Heaton
