So as you can see i got transferred to Aldergrove. A little tiny town outside of Abbotsford, so we cover the town and about half of the Abbotsford area! Funny story: transfer calls are usually on Monday so me and my companions were freaking out all night then weirdly enough we didn't get a call on Monday! We all got super excited and started talking about what we are going to do and the things we want to accomplish this transfer, then on Tuesday morning at 7:15 we get a call from a senior couple that works in the mission office and guess who it is! One of the assistants! Haha and that is when he told me i was getting transferred! I was a l little heart broken at first but now that i am here i absolutely love it! It is such a cute little town! The ward members are amazing we have a dinner with one almost every single night and if we don't someone will just call us and invite us over! And the best part, I have a car! No more transit! It was fun while it lasted but I am so grateful to have a car and I will never take it for granted again! My new companion is Sister Rood. She has only been out for 3 months so she just finished her training! She has had a few similar experiences with her trainer that i had with mine so we are able to relate a little bit. I was also called as a District Leader! If there was one leadership position i didn't want it was to be a district leader but apparently Heavenly Father really needs me to be one. I will do my best and i know that He will guide me and let me know what the sisters need!
We went to church yesterday and we had ward council right before sacrament, and Brother Johnson a member of the bishopric asked me if i would bear my testimony and introduce myself for a bit during sacrament so i was like sure i would love to! Then i walk in to the chapel and my name was already printed in the program! Haha i thought that was really funny! He just assumed i would say yes! Not that i would ever say no (especially now that i am a missionary) i just thought it was funny!
I absolutely love this ward! The members here are amazing and all are really focused on missionary work and sharing the gospel with there family! I was reading in preach my gospel the other day and found this line i love that says, "As your understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ grows, your desire to share the gospel will increase." I know that this is so true! As we come to know and understand the atonement and how it helps each of us personally in our lives it will give us the motivation and desire to help others feel the same relieving power that the Atonement offers each of us! Jesus Christ is the only person that truly understands how we feel and without his selfless and infinite sacrifice there would be no point to us being here on the earth! I am so grateful for him and the love he has for each of us! I can't even express how grateful i am for him and his perfect example! I love you all so much and i hope you all have wonderful week!
Love,
