Hello,
This week was an interesting and exciting week! I was able to have my first district meeting! It was a little shorter than i was suppose to be but for being my first one i felt i went okay and thankfully i don't have to do another until next week because we have a special Zone Conference this Friday! I am so excited! So much happened this past week! My companion and i saved a stray cat and our landlord took it to the pound. We named him Lemeowel (like lemuel but meow in it) So that was fun! Then a few days ago, Sister Rood and i were tracting and the ground was wet from the rain and we were walking down some wet stairs and Sister Rood slipped and got a giant bruise on her back and a minor concussion! That was fun! That makes 2 companions with a concussion while i was there companion! Also at some point this week, no one was taking our cards so we resorted to giving them to the trees! Haha Whoever my next companion is better watch out! Then the the best part of the week. . . I got to go to the temple today! It was amazing! It was the first time in 8 months so it was much needed and much appreciated!
We also had some really amazing lessons with some investigators this past week! We are teaching this family who were investigating 6 months ago and they are awesome and hopefully will start to progress and be baptized! Their daughter has been going to young womens for almost 2 years but they just have a few concerns but nothing we can't help out with! Then we are also teaching this other woman Lorrie (thats ironic) her and her daughter were investigating in Chiliwack and then moved to Aldergrove and we are teaching them now so hopefully they will start to progress as well and be baptized soon!
Funny story: We were out tracting and we knocked on this persons door and it sounded like 5 people were trying to get it open and it took them about 5 minutes but they got it except the chain thing was still on so they didn't open it all they way and they were Punjabi so they didn't speak English but afterwards, Sister Rood said "How many Punjabi does it take to open a door? Then i said, I don't know they never got it open" Haha! It was funny!
I was able to realize a lot this week about our Savior and the Atonement and just how important it truly is! Without it there would be no purpose to life, we wouldn't be able to be with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again, there would be no justice or mercy and no one would have been resurrected! Jesus Christ is central to Gods plan and without him we wouldn't be here. I love Jesus Christ so much and the infinite and atoning sacrifice he made for each of us as a whole and what he went through for me individually! He is the only one we can rely on because he knows exactly what we feel and have gone through and will go through! Heavenly Father will never make us do something Christ didn't already go through so we could have an advocate in this mortal world! I hope you have a great week! I love and miss you all dearly!
Love,
Sister Heaton
