Hello Family and Friends,
This week went by pretty fast! We did some service and had a few dinner appointments with a cute family, the Ryans and the Fox's who are less active. Both went pretty well and we were able to get some referrals which is really good! We also had a ward potluck where we invited a bunch of people and almost all of them came which was amazing our investigator, Barbie came and a few less actives we have came as well. It was alot of fun and one of our former investigators that we passed over to the Elders, Kecia has a baptismal date of October 25. We are so excited for her! Also on Saturday we have this new thing from our mission president called "Park the Car Day" where we can only drive to one spot then we have to walk around the rest of the day. So we had to walk to and from the church building which is 5 minutes away driving and 30 minutes if you walk. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but it was really exhausting walking around all day and since the end of the month was a few days before and we had ran out if K's we had to walk then as well but it is good to get out and get some exercise.
Also something really sad that happened was all my pictures on my memory card which was only about 45 disappeared last Monday somehow same with my companion except she lost all of her from her whole mission. Mom thank goodness you gave me a passport because i would have lost all of them if it weren't for that amazing little device. But we checked and it says they are still on there but you can't see them so i am going to send it home and see if you or Scott can fix it for me! I am just praying it will work and you can restore the pictures off of it. But this week went by really fast and was really good especially since it was conference!
I wrote 26 pages of notes! Most of it was thoughts or answers to questions I received from the spirit! It truly is amazing when you write down some simple questions you have how the Lord will answer each and everyone in the way you need to hear it! There were so many amazing and wonderful talks it is too hard to pick a favorite! It all happened and was over way to fast i was doing my best to soak in anything and everything that i could! I absolutely loved Bednars talk and Uchtdorfs talk as well, but each one had something in it that i needed to hear. We got to watch it in our church building which was good since it was on a big screen but the heater broke in the church so it was freezing and it has been raining and cold all week! So we were all wearing our winter coats in the chapel trying to watch conference! We had an investigator Barbie come to the Sunday morning session and 2 less actives come, one to the Sunday morning session and the other the Saturday morning session. I hope each of you were able to receive the answers you were looking for during conference as you listened to the speakers and the spirit give you the guidance you need in your life. There are so many things we can continually be striving be better at because no one is perfect but as we follow the perfect example we all have which is Jesus Christ we can start to overcome our weaknesses and work toward that perfect life with our Father and his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I hope you all have a fantastic week and you keep working hard and remembering the things you were able to feel and learn from conference and act on it! I love and miss you all!
