This week just completely flew by so fast! I could not believe that it was Monday here already!!! We were so busy this week just going from appointment to meetings to lessons! It made it go by even faster! Nothing too crazy happened this week! We had some amazing lessons with Rosie to prepare her for her interview and her baptism this Saturday! We are so excited! She passed the interview but sadly slipped up on the Word of Wisdom a week ago and now we are just waiting for the okay from our mission president! The best part was our District Leader told her in her interview that she needs to check up on us and see how we are doing! So she called us a bit ago and told us she was reading the books we gave her and told us she repented about the whole coffee thing and wanted to make sure we were doing good! She is so funny! We love her so much and have seen her grow these past 2 weeks! It was also her birthday this past Saturday so we had cake and ice cream with her and it was lots of fun!!! It is amazing to see her testimony grow so much!
On Saturday we were trying so hard to follow through with "park the car day" and try and stay in one area all day without driving and we ended up getting a little lost because we didn't grab the map but miraculously Brother and Sister D'Lerma called and came and picked us up and took us to lunch! They are the best members ever and they are the 2nd councillor in the bishopric and the Relief Society President and so it worked out beautifully to get to know them and get on their good side!
We were also able to have Rosie and a person we met come to church on Sunday!!! It was a miracle and the guy we met, George really liked it! He said he hasn't been to church since he had a bad experience years ago and he really felt the spirit! He wants to go slow but wants to learn and come again! So that was really cool!
Other than that i am doing really good!We send our investigators and recent converts a spiritual thought everyday and this is the one i sent them: "Our journey through life has periods of both good times and bad. Each presents different challenges. How we learn to adjust to the changes which come along depends on the foundation on which we build. The gospel of our Lord and Savior provides a sure and solid foundation. A foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall. (Hel. 5:12) It is constructed piece by piece as we gain knowledge of the Lords eternal plan for His children. The Savior is the Master Teacher. We follow him." I know this is true that as we have that solid and sure foundation that is built on Jesus Christ we can get through anything!!! I love you all so much and can't wait to talk to you again soon!
Love,
Sister Heaton
